Best ways to make your PC Faster

Slow running system, system crash or freezing of the system is not only troublesome but also annoying at times when you need to finish some important piece of work or deliver an urgent mail. To avoid this annoying situation the computer gurus recommend to keep your system clean of temporary files and empty the recycle bin each time you log off. The institutions etc install antivirus and keep it updated to avoid any Trojan or virus. Bulky programs that take up most of your memory to execute slow down the system or freeze it. Do not install too many types of software on your local hard drive of your pc to make it run faster. Try the following options:

 1. In order to delete temporary files, go to your internet option and check history, cookies and cache files to delete. It will save you some space of temporary memory. Also, delete the additional components of windows that are not in use. Another step you can take is to remove all the unused icons of programs on the desktop. Run the desktop wizard to remove unused icons or programs to remove and empty the start up program file. Users are advised to keep at least 250 MB of free space for the system to run smoothly. In case you have more storage capacity or have a higher hard disk, leave at least 20% of the total capacity to run system faster. This means the system will have enough capacity for temporary files storage and file swapping. By doing this in a routine your system will run smoothly.

 2. If the problem exists then you have to increase either the RAM or your HDD. Before purchasing them, you can go for just one more check and confirm if your antivirus is up to date and security updates are on. If you do not have antivirus, try to install a purchased one or use one of the free softwares available online. Free download of several good antiviruses is present on the internet. Just type free antivirus at the Google or any search engine and you will get a whole list of free software that is easy to download and install. You can try AVG home edition as it is user friendly and keeps the malicious virus and Trojan out of your system by updating itself and taking necessary actions defined by user.

 3. Another step you can take to run the system faster is to run Disk defragmenter. Go to start, all programs, accessories and then to system tools. Select the disk defragmenter option and select all drives. This process might take longer than you expect but running it overnight is a good idea. The system will run much faster when it has to search fewer resources to find a file and all the files organize in a better easier manner.
